Screen Saver freezes computer
A bit of a bumpy ride, as towards the end I screwed up my display settings and got the system to boot to a blank screen ANYWAY fixed that. Got the Matrox drivers back and LO there I was - where I had been a few days ago - everything working... Started to change settings etc then GUES WHAT.

Mouse freezes
The only way to correct the problem is go into control panel. click the display icon. click the settings button. change settings to 250 colors. I that seems to work. Everytime I have it in this setting, my computer will never freeze. I do believe that it could be the video card. I am going to buy more video memory

Windows 95 Freeze In high colour modes
Try disabling the AGP Fast Writes in your advanced display settings. If you still have problems, also try to reduce the AGP 8x setting down to AGP 4x. Hopefully this should work, it did for me. Also, for whatever strange reason, in time, I have returned these settings to the original numbers, and UT2K3 still works.

we call up the Display Settings, it says we have a hardware conflict, but setting the individual hardware to free resource settings freezes up the computer, and we have to reboot the whole thing. I went into the display settings, clicked the Advanced button, clicked the Direct3D tab and slid the slider bar for Main Settings all the way to the left (performance). Strange thing is that the games freezes at slightly different points each time I try !!! Any suggestions please ?

Turn down Hardware Acceleration, then go to the desktop display settings and try the different options for High and True Color (16-bit vs 24-bit vs 32-bit). You might also try changing As soon as you go into full screen slide show mode and try to advance to the next slide/build, the whole workstation freezes.
